Skinbetter science launched BioRewind, a skin health dietary supplement with a purpose of visibly improving skin quality by helping reduce advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs), on Monday.

Glycation is a key contributor to skin aging and this supplement’s formula is clinically demonstrated to reverse the effects.

“The launch of BioRewind marks a significant milestone for skinbetter science and medical grade skincare,” said Jonah Shacknai, CEO of skinbetter science. “With BioRewind, we are introducing a new approach to counteract skin aging by addressing glycation, a lesser known but extremely critical factor in the skin aging process. We are confident this innovation will redefine how we think about skin health.”

A double-blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled trial evaluated the safety and efficacy of BioRewind in 104 patients over 12 weeks.

Key results showed that after 12-weeks, patients in the BioRewind treatment group experienced significant reductions compared to baseline including 30% reduction in rough skin texture, 28% reduction in skin dullness, and 14% reduction in skin redness.

The trial also notes that at 12 weeks there was a 17% improvement in global skin quality in patients in the BioRewind treatment group compared to their baseline measurements. All the results were statistically significant, according to a press release.

Clinical and histological evidence will be available on 2 posters at the upcoming American Academy of Dermatology Meeting in Orlando.
